Every team missed points on Monday's worksheet, simply because you didn't answer all parts of the question. Several team members failed to answer the question AT ALL---teammates need to look out for this, and make sure everyone is doing their job.

You'll have a few minutes as a team to use your Prod. Hierarchy notes to finish answering questions, then we'll transition to a dry run of filming your story.

Prod Hierarchy: Performance Assessment

We'll divide into 3 teams for this week's assignment. Each team must shoot a scene from a children's story or fairy tale. You'll complete the worksheet below, then shoot the scene; each teammate will be graded on their adherence to the job description and responsibilities.

Story Ideas: Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks ,Hansel and Gretel, Chupacabra, La Llorona, etc.

Production Hierarchy in Action

For this assignment, you will be asked to perform duties and responsibilities specific to the job you are assigned. Take notes on this form and be prepared to answer questions related to your job. In phase 1, you will be graded on notes and oral responses to questions. In phase 2, you will be graded on your ability to perform your job duties.

1. Producer/Location Mgr: What must you coordinate or arrange for your shoot?

2. Director: What style do you want the production to have? What kind of performance will you be looking for from your actors?

3. 1^st AD: What will you have to schedule/coordinate for your shoot? List at least 3 things to consider or arrange:

4. Cinematographer/DP: What sort of ‘look’ are you going for? Who must you coordinate with to create the look of the film (name 2 people)?

5. Key Grip/Gaffer: What equipment must you bring to the shoot (list at least 2 items)? Who will you be working closely with on the set?

6. Boom Operator (Sound): List the equipment you will be working with on set. Name the person you will be communicating with on set during the shoot.

7. Hair/Makeup: Describe the “look” you’ll create for the actors. On a separate piece of paper, sketch out your color palette.

8. Wardrobe/Props: List at least 3 key items you’ll need to dress/outfit your actors.

9/10. Talent: Work together to create a basic script in the space below. Dialogue and action should last between 30 seconds and 1 minute.
