Worth 200 points, your final video must contain the following:
1. A song, no more than 4 minutes long, that contains a POSITIVE MESSAGE. You must submit your song for approval, including a printed copy of the lyrics, before filming. You may not use a song that contains explicit or offensive lyrics, including curse words, references to drugs/gangs/violence, etc. I will not approve songs that promote hate, discrimination or violence against any individual or group of people based on gender, race, religion, etc.
2. You must assemble a team of at least 4 people to help film your project. ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST PARTICIPATE IN FILMING TO RECEIVE CREDIT. At least 80% of the final footage must be shot during class time.
3. Your team must use glamour and/or sfx makeup, wardrobe, at least one PROP, and have at least 1 scene change.
4. Your team MUST complete, and adhere to, a 12-frame storyboard that shows key frames linked to specific points in the song. You will be heavily graded on composition for this project, and MUST use at least 8 distinctly different shot types in the final film.
5. You will be graded on the quality of your editing. I discourage you from shooting "sing-along" style videos, as they are exceptionally hard to sync. Your team will be penalized for jump/rough cuts, breaks in continuity or lack of coherence. In other words, the final product must be edited to flow smoothly and make sense.
6. Your credits must be professional, and include the song name, band/artist name, album name, copyright year and the copyright holder. If you cannot find this info during the initial research phase, do not use that song.
